Kevin Cummins is a Director and Chief US Economist at NatWest Markets in Stamford, Connecticut. In his role, he oversees all US economic forecasts and analysis, writes on the US economy, monetary and fiscal policy, and provides NatWest Markets sales and trading desks with updates on economic reports, news, and market developments. In addition to overseeing the US economics team, he frequently discusses economic trends and shares his views and insights with NatWest’s clients.

Kevin is regularly featured in the financial press, including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Bloomberg, Reuters, Business Week, The LA Times, and MarketWatch. He regularly appears on CNBC, Bloomberg TV, Fox Business News, PBS Nightly Business Report, Reuters TV, Yahoo Finance, and BNN.

Additional background

Prior to becoming Chief US Economist at NatWest Markets, Kevin served nearly five years as a Senior US Economist at NatWest and twelve years as a Senior Economist at UBS. Before that, he was a member of the US Economics team at RBS Greenwich Capital.

Kevin began his career at Federal Reserve Bank of New York, where he covered a range of disciplines, including Monetary Projections, Government Securities, Foreign Exchange, and Money Markets.
